Rosa Challenge Tour – Global Golf Stars Coming to Poland

On the last weekend of August at Rosa Golf Club in Konopiska near Częstochowa, we will witness an international gathering of professional golfers. 156 Challenge Tour players will compete for victory in the tournament and a high ranking position. The prize pool will amount to 270,000 euros.

The Challenge Tour is a professional series of tournaments that serves as a gateway to a global career in professional golf. Renowned golfers such as Brooks Koepka, Tommy Fleetwood, Henrik Stenson, Martin Kaymer, and Poland’s top golfer, Adrian Meronk, have all played here.

“We have been missing from European golf for years. That’s why I thought it would be good to join the Challenge Tour. The last tournaments of this series held in our country took place 15 years ago. In the meantime, a lot has changed in Polish golf. We celebrated the great success of Adrian Meronk, admired the excellent performances of Mateusz Gradecki, and now we can cheer for Dorota Zalewska in the Ladies European Tour. I hope that organizing the Rosa Challenge Tour will give another boost to the development of golf in Poland,” said Arkadiusz Muś, President of the Press Glass Board, tournament organizer, and owner of Rosa Golf Club.

The Rosa Challenge Tour will begin on August 29 and end on September 1. The event will be preceded by qualifying tournaments, with wild cards at stake. During the Rosa Challenge Tour Challenger (July 7, 2024), five spots will be up for grabs, including one guaranteed for the best Polish player. The winner of the Race to Rosa PGA Poland Tour and the best Polish junior identified in the 5 Stars tournament series will also have the right to participate in the Rosa Challenge Tour.

A Chance for Polish Golf

In 2024, a total of 29 events will take place across 18 countries as part of the Challenge Tour. The Polish edition will be played in the second half of the season, promising an exciting competition. For many players, this will be a crucial moment in their fight for a high ranking position.

The Challenge Tour events are a huge opportunity for Polish golf. As Jamie Hodges, Challenge Tour Director, said, “The organization of the Rosa Challenge Tour can open the doors to the world league of golf for Poland and inspire the next generation of stars.”

Polish Representatives

Many talented players will represent Poland during the Rosa Challenge Tour. Alongside Mateusz Gradecki, the most titled Challenge Tour player, will be Alejandro Pedryc, Michał Bargenda, Oskar Zaborowski, Maksymilian Biały, Jan Rybczyński, Nikolas Tymiński, and Antoni Hawkins.

Challenges on Many Fronts

The Rosa Challenge Tour is also a very large and demanding event in terms of organization. 156 golfers, caddies, and fans from different parts of the world will come to Poland. The tournament director will be Ed Johnson. The tournament organizers not only have to meet all the requirements of the Challenge Tour but also aim to make the Polish edition one of the best of the season.

“Although we have over 30 years of experience in organizing top-tier sporting events, the Rosa Challenge Tour is quite a challenge for us. The event support team already numbers several dozen people at this stage. Additionally, we need 100 volunteers to support the tournament organization. This shows the scale of this endeavor. However, we take it as a point of honor to make the Polish edition stand out positively compared to others,” said Łukasz Tomkiewicz, President of the V5 Group, co-organizer of the event.

All those who want to support the organization of the Rosa Challenge Tour can apply through the website www.rosa.golf.

In addition to the tournament itself, there will also be accompanying events at Rosa Golf Club. The week will start with a junior pro-am on August 26. Tuesday (August 27) will be a training day with media participation. On Wednesday (August 28), there will be a Pro-Am with sponsors and guests.
