The GAC Rosa Challenge Tour begins – a great golf spectacle in Poland

156 players from 29 countries, including Grand Slam tournament participants like Marc Warren, and David Horsey, as well as many other winners of the world’s most prestigious golf tournaments, will participate in the GAC Rosa Challenge Tour. This is the largest golf spectacle in Poland, in which nine representatives of our country, led by Mateusz Gradecki, will also compete for success. For several days, Rosa Golf Club will become an arena of excitement, sporting competition, and unforgettable experiences for fans.

Competition at the highest level

The tournament will start on Thursday, and the first players will take the course at 7:15 a.m. Poland will be represented by nine golfers: Mateusz Gradecki, Alejandro Pedryc, Michał Bargenda, Marcin Bogusz, Nikolas Tymiński, Jan Rybczyński, Antoni Hawkins, Grzegorz Zieliński and Jan Branicki.

“The GAC Rosa Challenge Tour is the only golf tournament of this caliber in Poland, not only a world-class sporting event but also an incredibly important experience for the Polish representatives. We hope that their performances will contribute to the development of golf in the country and allow us to make an increasingly bold mark on the international stage. Last year’s edition significantly increased the number of golfers in Poland, and this year we expect an even greater increase in interest. We are particularly pleased that the tournament is supported by the Ministry of Sport and Tourism and the Polish Golf Association, for which we are very grateful,” says Łukasz Tomkiewicz, CEO of V5 Group , co-organizer of the tournament, and vice president of PGA Poland.

Effective promotion of golf and Poland around the world

Already after the first tournament held at Rosa Golf Club, the number of handicap cards issued by the Polish Golf Association, which qualify for participation in tournaments, has grown rapidly. It currently stands at 8,000 and continues to grow. Meanwhile, the number of Green Cards, which allow for recreational play, has increased by nearly 1,000 compared to last year.

Thanks to the GAC Rosa Challenge, these numbers have the potential to grow even faster – the tournament has become one of the most important and best-organized in the entire HotelPlanner Tour. The performances of a strong Polish team alongside world golf stars in their own country are incredibly motivating for both players and enthusiasts, who can witness the highest level of competition directly in Poland.

Hosting an event of this magnitude in Poland not only effectively promotes the sport itself but also promotes Poland internationally. Golf, like no other sport, fuels tourism and the hotel and restaurant industries, bringing tangible economic benefits.

Tournament for people with disabilities and Junior Pro-Am

Just before the main competition began, special side events took place. One of these was a tournament for people with disabilities, where, under the guidance of PGA Poland coach Jacek Uchański, Marek Konopka won with a net score of 79. The competition was incredibly inspiring and motivating for the spectators.

The same day also saw the junior Pro-Am, organized in cooperation with the 5 Stars Junior Cup, sponsored by top Polish golfer Adrian Meronk . Twenty-seven young players participated, with the best score (-16) achieved by the team led by Michał Bargenda, consisting of Lena Szymańska, Jan Pyla, and Robin Stelmasiak.
